Finance Assistant (Logistics)

Job Description

The Finance Assistant will provide comprehensive financial and administrative support to the Transport and Logistics functions, ensuring accurate processing, reporting, and reconciliation of financial data. The role works closely with the Finance, Transport, and Logistics teams to support operational efficiency, month-end processes, and management reporting.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Sage 50 experience (essential)
  • 2 years Finance experience including purchase & general ledger management

Location: Pershore, Worcestershire

Contract: Permanent - Full Time
Salary: Competitive Salary
Monday to Friday (08:00 until 16:00)

Duties:

  • Manage the Transport sales ledger and Logistics purchase ledger
  • Process invoicing, purchase orders, and supplier payments
  • Produce regular transport cost and management reports
  • Support month‑end processes, reconciliations, and journals
  • Handle logistics administration, including vehicle records and fines

Additional Duties

  • Provide holiday cover within the wider Accounts and Finance department.
  • Support the Finance team with ad hoc analysis and reporting.
  • Collate information for month-end waste and subcontractor journals.
  • Undertake general office and administrative duties as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation and carry out regular system housekeeping.
  • Regular system housekeeping.
  • Support internal and external audit preparation activities.
